- Residents doing mechanical/ car work on their properties - at all hours, including weekends. This disturbs neighbors with noise and fumes, and questions about the flammability of items used in/ around garages.
- Oversized vehicles/ RVs on properties and on the streets. Please remember that vehicles on the street must be moved every 72 hours, or they will be considered "abandoned vehicles" by the city.
- Plant overgrowth on properties - weeds and other plants taking over properties. Fire Hazards just waiting to happen in our dry weather.

How do I report a violation?
If you believe that there is a violation in your neighborhood or near your business, call (619) 236-5500 to file a complaint, or complete the Request for Investigation Form and submit online, or print and mail. The form is also available at any City of San Diego library computer by going to the NCCD website or at our office located at 1222 First Avenue, 5th Floor. When you phone in your complaint, we will ask if you have contacted the responsible party. Most people want to be good neighbors and are cooperative once the issue is brought to their attention.
Due to the existing case load and staff constraints, the complaint you file should be for those properties where the violations directly affect you.
Community-initiated complaints will usually receive a higher priority than individual complaints.
High service demands can routinely cause cases to remain open for 30 or more days. These cases usually involve violations that do not affect the public at large and do not constitute a health and safety problem.

If you see graffiti vandalism in progress, call 911 and report it immediately to the San Diego Police Department. Do not confront the vandals. Although they may appear to be harmless, they may be carrying weapons. How to initiate the abatement process for graffiti in the community. - Rewards Program
Receive up to $500 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of graffiti vandals.
Contact the city's Paint and Materials Exchange Bank for assistance or questions pertaining to graffiti removal supplies and safety. The City of San Diego operates a Paint and Materials Exchange Bank in the Chollas View area where citizens can obtain free recycled paint in limited colors for graffiti removal.
